Robert Giordano M.S., L.Ac., is a 2002 graduate of the Pacific College of Health and Science (NY campus) earning a Masters of Science and NY State license in acupuncture. Robert has been practicing Acupuncture In Union Square and Brooklyn, NYC for over 20 years. Robert’s training at PCHS included extensive Western sciences and Eastern complementary studies specializing in the field of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is also certified by the Ohashi Institute (N.Y.) in traditional Japanese Ohashiatsu therapy under the tutelage of Sensei Wataru Ohashi.
Robert is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in clean needle technique as well as a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY).
Robert’s background includes being the former head of Holistic Therapies at the Cabrini Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (CCNR) specializing in the treatment of post-operative rehabilitation and pain management. Robert’s post-graduate studies include Dr. Tan Balance method and Dr. Tung style of acupuncture as well as studies in Laser-puncture, Qigong, Vibrational Sound therapy, and Reiki Mastership.
Fifteen years prior to his acupuncture studies in NYC, Robert pursued a thriving private bodywork practice as well as a teaching practice at Sal Anthony’s Movement Salon, specializing in traditional Japanese shiatsu. In addition, Robert is a member of the Zen Studies Society (Dai Bosatsu Kongo-Ji) in the Rinzai Zen Buddhist tradition, as well as a musician and composer of abstract compositions.
