Dr. Christopher Ortaleza is a licensed sports chiropractor in Manhattan, NYC with a strong focus on musculoskeletal ailments and prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly NYCC) in 2021 and is board certified for practice in both Canada and the United States.
Driven by his passion for wellness and sports, Dr. Ortaleza is dedicated to improving the quality of life of all his patients. As a former athlete, Dr. Ortaleza got to see firsthand how injuries impacted sport and was also able to see how many of these common injuries could have been avoided. His focus is therefore on preventative pain management and the treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
Dr. Ortaleza has treated distinguished and acclaimed clients in film, tech and politics and has worked with international athletes at high-profile sports events including the US Tennis Open. His treatment techniques include Active Release Techniques (ART), Manual Therapy, Flexion-Distraction (spinal decompression), specific joint manipulation and postural assessments. He is also experienced in interpreting lab results, blood analysis, X-rays and MRI. Through chiropractic care, Dr. Ortaleza strives to get people back into the activities they love.
